Sheri Benson

Sheri Benson

Sheri Benson is the executive director of the United Way of Saskatoon and Area. With revenues in excess of $4.0M, the organization is currently supporting over 500 local programs and services provided by 34 community-based organizations. In addition, the organization supports a broad range of community collaborations including most recently, a collaborative Human Resource Capacity Building project with United Way funded agencies. Sheri has worked for over 20 years in the community based sector both in direct service and community development.

Corinne Bokitch

Corinne Bokitch

Corinne Bokitch is the president & CEO of CB Solutions (Capacity Building Solutions) providing leadership, organizational effectiveness, human resource management, executive transition and coaching, and project management to community-based organizations (CBOs), and those working with CBOs. Corinne has over 25 years experience in the sector as an executive director, member of non-profit boards and as a volunteer. She also worked with the provincial government, as Executive Director of the Status of Women Office, where she was responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership on policy matters. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina and a Master of Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University.

Doug Borrowman

Doug Borrowman

Doug Borrowman is a current board member with the United Way of Saskatoon and Area and the Chair of the organization’s Human Resource Committee. Doug is recently retired from a long and distinguished career with the federal civil service serving in several ministries at the senior management level. Doug’s last appointment was as the executive director of the Saskatchewan Federal Council. Doug also served as co-chair of the Saskatchewan Joint Career Transition Committee, a voluntary federal union/management committee dedicated to improving employees career advancement opportunities.

Joanne is the CEO of United Way of Regina. She joined the team at United Way of Regina in 1998 as the director of operations. She is responsible for implementing the strategies to achieve the goals of the organization, creating and maintaining strong relationships within the community and donors while ensuring the staff team has the resources to succeed in their respective areas of responsibility. Through her work and volunteer commitments, she has been involved in the sector for 30 years.

Vic Huard

Dr. Vic Huard

Vic is the principal in Vic Huard and Associates, specializing in strategic thinking consulting with the community-based organizations, the private sector, and government. Vic has extensive experience working with a wide variety of stakeholders, including government, corporations, community leaders and community-based organizations on a range of strategic initiatives. For the past ten years Vic has served in leadership positions in several community-based organizations including the RCMP Heritage Centre, United Way of Regina and the Regina Community Clinic. For the past 8 years Vic has delivered workshops on non-profit governance, brand management and communications; he also teaches at the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business at the University of Regina.

Kelly Lendsey

Kelly Lendsay

Kelly Lendsay is the president and CEO of the Aboriginal Human Resource Council. He is recognized as one of Canada’s foremost innovators of Aboriginal diversity. A proud Canadian of Métis, Cree and European ancestry, Lendsay earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Physiology Minor in 1981 and attained his M.B.A. in 1993 from the University of Saskatchewan. Lendsay’s consulting study, The Impact of the Changing Aboriginal Population on the Saskatchewan Economy: 1995-2045, is one of the most widely cited sources on the implications of Aboriginal demographics and the economy.

Keith Seel

Keith is the chair of the HR Council's Board of Directors and is the director of the Institute for Nonprofit Studies at Mount Royal College. An instructor, researcher, speaker and author with in-depth experience in the voluntary sector, Keith designed Canada's first Bachelor's Degree in Applied Nonprofit Studies. He is known internationally for his advanced work in the areas of ethics, ethical decision making models and values based policy development. Current research interests include non-profit board governance and social policy effects on the non-profit sector. He is past-president of the Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre of Calgary and the Calgary Service Providers Chairs' Council.

Lynne Toupin

Lynne is the HR Council's executive director. She has led a number of national non-profit organizations over her career including the Canadian Co-operative Association and the National Anti-Poverty Organization. She co-chaired the Accord Table for the Voluntary Sector Initiative, which led to a written agreement between the Government of Canada and the voluntary and non-profit sector. She is currently a board member of The Alliance of Sector Councils and serves on Imagine Canada's Advisory Council. Lynne holds a Masters in Education from l'Université de Montréal and a B.A. from the University of Winnipeg.
